MATHOOR AQUEDUCT - A HANGING WATER TROUGH IN SOUTH ASIA

The plan for this trip will be rather important than the trip. We planned for this trip many times. Any of the reasons will stop us. But this time we confirmed to surely make a visit to all major spot in our native. And initial ride to the hanging trough. And this is the first trip in My Brother's new bike YAMAHA R15 V3. Luckily for our ride, this is the best vehicle to make kickback exciting. The one of the Western Ghats wonder in Kanyakumari will be Mathoor Aqueduct.

Mathoor Aqueduct

History of Mathoor Aqueduct:

It is one of the longest hanging water in India continent, South Asia. It is in Mathoor nearby town of Attur in Kanyakumari district Tamil Nadu. The Mathoor Aqueduct was constructed in 1966 for the agricultural purpose by Honorable former Chief Minister the great Mr. Kamarajar. The main plan for this construction was to connect water from one mountain to other mountains. It was constructed over the river Parazhiyar.

About Mathoor Aqueduct:

It is located in a very good natural scenic place. In this one side is water trough and one side pathway is there for the local people. they used this aqueduct like a bridge. It is a village area. And it is one of the major tourist destinations in Kanyakumari. It is the mountain region full of rubber estates and coconut lands. Aruvikarai is a small village with basic facilities. Many small homes are only there nearby to this hanging trough. The aqueduct was weighed by long pillars on the river. From both side, in Aqueduct the background of Western Ghats Hills still attract our thoughts.

My Experience In Mathoor Aqueduct:

The time would be 10:00 AM. That time we talk about traveling nearby to buy things from the shop. And I told him after complete the work, better we could plan for a ride. He accepted. So I asked him to start the vehicle for Mathoor Bridge. Initially, we already have experienced before to Mathoor Aqueduct. Earlier for Mathoor trip, we tagged with our friends. This time we planned for only two of us like a solo trip in brand new Yamaha R15 V3. Feeling lucky at the same time. Because this is the first time I took more than 03 days of permission from the office personally. That's Why I got time for rides after a long time in My native.

Aruvikarai On the way to Aqueduct...

It's Me Checking for next spot to shot...

We already know the route to this bridge as we traveled several times. But this time got time confusion by taking the vehicle straight for left side turning. Cleared, we take straight road connecting the same road. That way we saw one beautiful village named Aruvikarai. Later only we understand Aruvikarai is the place where the Mathoor Aqueduct constructed. Through this route, we traveled more, than the direct route. But we like that confusion happened in between. That is the reason we saw this village beauty. My mind dreaming under excitement for the local hidden areas in the native. So thanks to Marvel Titus for the marvelous action happened.

Entry to the Bridge...

After taking a few clicks moved to the destination that we planned to visit. Park the vehicle in the parking area and take entry tickets and parking token before the move up. Now My Brother told to me, If we came through the backside route, we don't want to pay the parking fee and entry ticket. The reason is local peoples mostly travel through the other side of the bridge and local Peoples doesn't pay for entry all the time. And this bridge was not the only one way to cross the Parazhiyar river. And he told me with his college mates he used to visit this place many times, we wouldn't take any tokens here.

Turning back...

Walking in the bridge gives feel like we are on the top of the World. In this Mathoor Hanging Trough, one boy achieved  Guinness World by driving bike (Cycle) in the edge of this 115 feet highest bridge.
Too dangerous spot for this kind of activities, but he is an achiever who crossing this trough from one end to other. This walk remember many stories in our life and talks reflects the entertaining moments.
Many tourist people enjoying the slide view from his bridge with selfie shoots and outer clicks.

Down stairs with hut for relaxing...

Suddenly we turned back, some local guys taking loudly something with them. We heard what it is, It was very funny thing. In the down stairs couples romance going on, they stopped immediately . Because of the local guys comment them in loud voice. We smiled and continue our walk with some clicks ourselves. While coming down through the down stairs local people selling village fruits, water and chips items. They are cooking the chips there in front of us.

Capturing every moments in life will give peace while we recheck collections of our every moments in life. In down area of the bridge relaxing park is there with games for children. It is the rainy time, so good feel here. The peace mind never accept to leave from here. This ancient bridge, one of the longest among South Asia is one of the wonders of India. The value of this bridge will not be valued by any cost. The people in this village knows the real fact and importance of this trough. It is one of the hidden mountain village area in Kanyakumari.
